- Research and editorial: Perform deep historical study and analysis in connection with Prof. Mead’s upcoming book; provide background research and editorial help for frequent op-eds and essays in the Wall Street Journal, Foreign Affairs, and elsewhere.
- Administrative: Assist Prof. Mead with calendar and travel management and other organizational tasks.

This is an entry-level position for someone who wants to launch a career in journalism, business, or policy analysis. The successful candidate will be joining the sharp and clever team at The American Interest, and past holders of this position have gone on to prestigious fellowships, further academic study, and positions at top businesses.
